Who? What? Where? - The VMA Edition

August 26, 2014

The 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, hosted in California last night, showcased the music industry's finest talent both on the red carpet and on stage. Beyoncé slayed it, when she performed a fifteen minute summary of her whole self-titled album, before accepting the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, which was presented by Jay-Z and Blue Ivy. I think it's safe to say that the power couple are as strong as ever! Bow down.

Nicki Minaj suffered a wardrobe malfunction on stage, while performing her new single "Bang Bang" with Jessie J and Ariana Grande. However, the star impressively managed to prevent any drastic slips by hanging onto the front of her dress while continuing with her incredible performance.

Keep reading for the 2014 MTV VMAs best dressed.

1) Not only did Beyoncé stun on stage, but also on the red carpet in her Nicolas Jebran textured dress. The lace and sequined gown oozed sex appeal, crowning her Queen of the VMAs.

2) The Knowles owned this years VMAs, with Solange (aka Bey's baby sis) dazzling the crowds in a sparkly H&M Studio suit. This masculine look was made super sexy paired with killer heels, red lashes and a plunging neckline.

3) Chanel Iman looked incredible in a black Balmain dress and Casadei heels. The supermodel, who starred in the "Yoncé" music video, did the Queen proud in her figure hugging dress.

4) Another "Yoncé" star stunned in a black, Balmain ensemble. Jourdan Dunn's bandeau contrasted beautifully with the maxi skirt, creating a sexy look that showed off her toned abs.

5) Kendall Jenner killed it in an Alon Livne sheer shirt and high waisted trousers. The sheer bodice and black, La Perla bra were super sexy, but the long trousers ensured that this look didn't stray from sexy to slutty.

6) Miley Cryus took a more tame, yet stylish, route this year in an Alexandre Vauthier look, with only her midriff on show. Plus, her work for homless youths and acceptance speech earned Miley extra bonus points.

7) Rita Ora was a ravishing lady in red. Her Donna Karen Atelier dress fitted her perfectly, and the silk blew beautifully in the breeze. Rita pulled an Angelina Jolie with the side split, while the glittering Lorraine Schwartz choker topped the look off.

8) Sarah Hyland's blue, one shouldered gown was gorgeous. The Kaufmanfranco dress, Stuart Weitzman heels and Lorraine Schwartz jewellery created a stunning look.

9) Jennifer Lopez proved that you can look sexy at any age, in her Charbel Zoe cut-out gown. The metallic dress was extremely risqué, yet the star managed to pull it off and give the younger celebs a lesson in how to dress like a diva.

10) Because we can't give Beyoncé enough praise, she wins another best dressed place for her bejewelled Tom Ford leotard. The jewels shone along with their wearer during Beyoncé's performance and we can't help but melt at how cute the Carter family are. All hail Queen Bey.
